Oil mixing with coolant

I am new to this forum and in need of some assistnce. I have a 1989 Isuzu pickup (2.6). My problem is that I have what appears to be oil mixing with my coolant in the overflow container (not antifreeze mixing with with oil). When the car begins to heat up, it shoots this mixture out of the overflow container onto the hood. This happens after the truck has been running for about 15 minutes. I had the head checked and I was told that it was cracked. This was replaced and a new gasket set was installed as well. I tested the truck and again it began to overheat after 15 minutes. The block is good. Can any body give me some help here.

Are you sure it is oil and not dirty transmission oil, your automatic transmission oil cooler will run through your rad

Funny you mention that. I spoke to a mechanic at the Isuzu dealer after posting my problem and he suggested that I look into the radiator to see if in fact there was pinkish tint on the cap. He also said that based upon the flow of the liquids that the radiator could possibly be leaking from the transmission pipe into the coolant. (I think I said that right). If that is the case what all needs to be replaced to stop this headache?

I haven't worked on many ISuzus, but if the tube goes thru the radiator, then I'd take n educated guess that the tube is part of the radiator and therefor the whole radiatior must be repaired or replaced.

I agree with tweak, sounds like a new radiator is in order here.

Thanks for your help. I will have my mechanic look at the radiator
