Blinkers

need some help.. i have a buick 89 lesabre & i have a blinker problem. the blinkers used to blink slow and kind of stutter, then they would stay light for a few second then start blinking again. recently they would not blink. so i would give the under side of the dash a smack left of the steering column and they would start blinking. well now that does not even help. they are dead no blinkers... is there a blinker relay?? a fuse ?? im hoping it is not a short in the wires. any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: Blinkers

Blinker relay, located right about where you are hitting the dash. But it is located under the dash. There may be a plastic cover over the fuses and relay. The relay is about the diameter of a D size battery and about an inch long. Easy to change pull the old one out and press the new one in.
