Drinking: before or when ya get there?! plus where?

seriously to start this thread off Im bored as shit I have an exam in like 2 days yet i couldnt be fucked studying

now to the good stuff


wherever it is you live, when you go out to a pub or club or bar or casino or sports betting place(you get the picture) to be a cheap bastard/bastardess do you drink before hand? to save that extra bit of money?

because due to insane pricing at certain places a lot of people i know(including me on occasions) drink before getting to a pub (eg the half a bottle of bourbon with coke is the classic).

So what is it you alcohol loving members of AF prefer to do? drink beforehand to save the mula or have some dignity and whip out the wallet!

plus if you do or do not have a "usual" place you hang at, do tell!

why? because i want to eat your children while your drinking, but seriously this is the sort of ice breaking bullshit i can come up with at the flick of a wrist

its usually "the claremont", a 2 storey pub/club with a lot of people in my age group. It closes at around 1am, then its off to club bayview or whatnot. but its killing me, im beginning to hate it. the sort of like strangling hate, but the poon damit, you dont understand

I like to arive sober to get a good feel for the place. Then I'll sip the VSOP out of my flask. Once I start to feel good, I'll order Heinekens all night.

i do not drink and drive, so i wait until i arrive to start drinking. you dont know what you want to have until you get to the place. sometimes i want a light beer, a dark beer, or i just start shooting. its all in the atmosphere.

Depends. I prefer to start drinking at the bar/club. I just like the atmosphere. I'll drink before hand, on occasion but not often.

if im out to get sloshed ill drink before hand and bring my flask with me, for those times when the bar is packed. However, if i am out to just hang out, have a few drinks, and not have a hangover the next morning, i usuallly just drink at the bar. But also if there is a good special like 75 cent pitchers i usually arrive sober and leave leaning on a friend or 2.

most of the time i drink a little before... That way i save a little money by not buying all my alcohol there but i also have a beer in my hand there so i dont look cheap

I liek to save money. So I always drink before heading out tot he bars or clubs. The price the drinks go for in there is insane. Plus you have a better time whilst waiting in line and looking at all the potential. Only drink inside to keep my buzz going then it's walking home with all the friends for more good times

Depends on the mood and who I'm goin with. Generally I start drinking at home/Tina's house before I go out cause I get there and get ready and I have to end up waiting....why not just get my drink on?

We used to always drink before we hit any bars and/or clubs. On Navy bases we have our own shitty little hole in the wall bars but the drinks are cheap as hell. Before going anywhere, everyone would meet up at the hole in the wall and get shit faced. Takes only 30 minutes to an hour to accomplish. As soon as at least one of us begins to stumble, mumble, or drool we head out into town!

hahaha good times!, there is nothing like scarying everyone on the train, and pissing off the train guards with drunken bullshitting

Yeah sometimes its good to be that extra bit drunk when you know that nothing special is happening, but I hate it when your to pissed to hold down a proper conversation.

Like when your talking to a bird and your covered in beer, and find it hard to put sentences together, and i wont even get to the dancing

Don't drink much anymore, but I do prefer to drink when I get there, if for whatever reason I do choose to drink.
