Electric Window

I have a 53 plate Megane Dynamique bought about 1 month ago. No problems... until now.

I was woken last night by my car alarm and when I went to the car the front passenger window was missing. Initial reaction - "sh*t, somebodys broken in to it". However, on closer inspection there was no broken glass. Checked the interior, all CD's were still there, nothing was taken and apart from no window there was no sign of forced entry.

Started the car, used the electric window control for the passenger side and lo and behold... up pops the window!

What's going on? It seems that the window wound itself down and with this open, set the alarm off? Is this a known fault that thew window goes down by itself? Or was there an attempted break in and if so, how did they get the window down with no damage?

Thanks for any help.
