replacing rear speakers 99 cavaler

What is the easiest way to get to the rear speakers in this car. The rear seat folds down. Are there hidden screws behind anything? Don't want to break anything in this colder weather!

you should search for old posts... this has been covered many times... pull the black retaining pins out from behind the seat... the side curtins just pop out..

The rear deck comes off pretty easy, carefull around the seat belts. My Eclipse 6x9's don't fit correctly in the factory holes. Just a heads up. Zip ties are holding things in place under it all.

Re: replacing rear speakers 99 cavaler

if your 6x9's have tweaters in them to make them 2 way or more... the back dash can ruin them if it sits ontop of those.. when i installed my rockford fosgates.. they came with a black grill and i installed it on them under neath the dash... to prevent damage to them. So far so good, but with the exhuast i get a little rattle from them
