Arrow Any help??

I can't seem to get any help in the Nissan Stanza sub-category; maybe you guys can help: What would be a logical engine swap for a 1991 Nissan Stanza? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Re: Any help??

hay i had a stanza befor i got the 240 (WINK WINK, get the hint!!!)

the only thing u can due is the pulsar sr20det swap, or the altina motor (DOHC). either way the swap s some what dificult.

the only problem.... u can't stop, there are no good breaks for teh stanza or suspention parts... trust me i love my stanza but the amount of money u will spend on it is a not resnoble....

with 6 Gs i have a 250 whp super fast 240 with great suspention and great brakes... it will take far more then that to sup up the stanza... its a good car but what do u what from it??

i loved teh canyon thing, i took the stanza up and down the canyons, its OK but i needed a better car.

let me know what u think, and if u have any questions....

Re: Any help??

I want a 240 WAY more than a Stanza! But a friend of mine is giving me a good deal on a '91 Stanza, so that's what I'm gonna drive until I save up some money for my 240. I just want as much added horsepower for the least amount of money. Maybe I should just consider some bolt ons for now? What do you think?

Re: Any help??

I'm up in Spokane, Washington. There are mostly just a bunch of ricers with gay lookin' civics. I've only seen like three 240 fastbacks in the whole city, maybe two coupes. Where's the best place to look for them? Local classifieds? E-bay?

Re: Any help??

classifieds, old people with 240 .... use commen cence, stay away from e-bay (unless u fined a cheap one) bcu everyone and ther grandma look at e-bay, and almost every 240 selling on it it for DRIFTING bull shit , so u will pay more for that BS.

by it from some one who has no clue what they have, tell then ur a poor starving student and u need a car for school, look at the action too, here in ca we have octions for cars that were impounded... etc u can get a 240 for $500 there ... be patiant there old and there everywhere.

Re: Any help??

Cool. Thanks for the advice, man. I'll do some more looking before I make a decision on the Stanza. I'll PM you or something when I get some info if that's alright with you. Also if I get the 240, maybe you could help me with some of the mods?

Re: Any help??

i agree... i understand you need a car and you don't have enough saved up for a 240 yet. hence, you're getting the stanza. But don't spend too much time, money and effort on your stanza (i.e. - engine swap) if you really need something.. just go with bolt-ons for now. It'll take you longer to get the 240 and when you do get it... almost everything you spent on the stanza will be a waste.
i found my S13 for less than 2G's... just keep looking out for underground classified sections on the paper and online. Don't go to mainstream because obviously that's where everybody else looks... good luck.

Re: Any help??

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Due to my lack of money right now, I might have to go with the Stanza. I'll probably just clean it up and add a few bolt ons while I save for the 240.
