1987 chryler lebaron 2.2 L turbo 70,000 miles auto trans Hello i need your help!! I have an 1987 chryler lebaron which is giving me start problems. The starter wont kick out. I have replaced the battery, starter and the starter relay. If i use a remote starter device the starter kicks out, but not with the key. I think it could be the obc but i dont want to get one if that isnt the problem. The reason i think its the obc is that when the key is on i get a letter "A" next to the MPH display on the(digital dash)which i dont recall seeing before and i cant get any info on why its there, please help im in chiago and winter is coming.... thanks in advance for any help you can give or tips to help trouble shoot |

Try holding the ignition until it starts, you could just have a bad ignition switch.

If you have a way to do this safely. try by-passing the transmission switch. It might be bad. If you have an OHM meter measure the switch to see if it's closed. (shorted) If this is open the car won't start. |

If the starter won't kick out then it is prolly the starter solenoid.
