Changing out the timing belt.... HELP!!!!

hey ya'll, i need to change my timing belt, but i dont want to pay $300 to get it done. has anybody here changed one in the 4 cyl? please let me know what kind of tricks there are. Adios

alot of people just take theirs to the dealership while its still under warranty. you might be able to find a shop around town that could do it for cheaper than $300. i know the dealership will charge you out the ass

its no longer under warrenty since its consider maitenance, i've already tried finding somebody else cheaper. so i am set on doing it my self.

how about purchasing a service manual, then not only can you do timing belts, but host of other things. its a good investment.

sercive manual is $280, but i can get a direct mitsubishi factory manual for $200. the only pronlem is that is that i don't have any money

scroll to the bottom and there will be the index, search what you are looking for and then it will tell you the page number. i looked it up for you.
