Talking 2001 Windstar

The driver's side window on my Winney stopped working. Was intermittant, now totally broke. Can hear the relays clicking under dash when operating the switch but motor not running. I think it may be a bad window motor. Question is - what must be done to remove door panel for access? I can see two screws on the door bottom and 2 screws in the handrest. Any info appreciated....TKS

PS....disregard last post...wrong year...TYPO...they were not made then

Re: 2001 Windstar

firstly do a search (at the top of this page) thru forums about your particular problem your having with the window motor and I placed a thread about door actuators with the removal of the door panel in pictures.. (to get to your stereo speakers but is the same ordeal) simple actually.. Just replaced the third actuator motor now one for each drivers/ passenger and now back hatch doors. grrr.. and literally was at the wreckers again for a belt tensioner pulley that was squealing and pulled one of a wrecked 96'3.8 L Windstar motor for $10.00! motors were actaully more $15.00 each. Good luck on the window motor I read/hear it's a bit of an ordeal..
