Transmission skipping

Have a 2001 Escape with 4 wheel drive and 70,000 miles. Transmission skips occasionally when shifting. Any suggestions?

Did you check the fluid level to see if it's topped off...also when is that last time you have a transmission flush??

Mine doesn'T "skip" but on a slight incline at a certain throttle opening there is some kind of unusual shift point (you can see this on the tach)....I don't know if this is your problem....but I had the recall with the trans control box done......and it still does this at the exact same place on the road evertime.
