1991 acura l

i am new to this forum but i have an acura legend and the car is graceful but the only problem is when i idle for a while the gueage slowly creeps up. I know i dont have a bhg but neither do i want one but when i start moving again it slowly comes down or when i cut the car off the fans cool it down but when in idle the fans do not come on i would appreciate a reply of whether it s a fan problem or something because my water pump was just replaced.
