valve cover question (b16a2)

hey everyone... i have a quick question, if i where to take my valve cover off to paint it would i have to get any new seals or anything to put it back on or can u just slap it right back on there?

No, your valve cover gasket is a thick rubber gasket. Unless it's cracked and broken, which I doubt it is, you don't need to. It wouldn't be very pragmatic for the valve cover gasket be anything ealse but thick and durable. You'll be fine dude.

its possible it will leak. if your going to reuse it get all the oil off of it and let it dry before putting it back in cause the oil on it doesnt help the seal.

You cuold use the same gasket id just use a lil valve sealer when you put it back on.......
