PCM in 99 GC
Have a 99 GC I6. Gov. Pressure solenoid went and back fed into PCM and fried it. Any other PCM's work other than one for my trans (42RE)?
Thanks |

Did the PCM fry or was it the Trans module? The pcm is big money from the Dealer might want to try a Salvage yard or chek E_Bay picked a back up for my Grand for under a Hundred.

I have an extra PMC from a 1999. It came from a 4.7L...not sure if it's the same hardware.

Re: PCM in 99 GC
I replaced the (PCM) in my 99GC the total cost was $450.00 for (PCM) from dealer
that was with shop discount and tax exempt and they also charged $49.95 to flash system after in stall. 99 is the only year that will work and only grand cherokee. 4.0 is different than 4.7 and if you have anti-theft chip in key your vin number will tell you alot. |

Re: PCM in 99 GC
if you decide to use a junkyard unit make sure the air bag was not popped if so this tends to fry (PCM)
