Absinthe

Havent posteed in a while, but im soon to be importing some german absenthe and was wondering who alls done it? And what their preferred kind is. Im thinkin about the Blue Velvet... Ooooh this is gonna be fun.

anyways why would u want to consume something like that? about the only lasting effect will be the brain damage, and trust me, it sucks.

Well, i have enough dane bramage as is. So i dont think a bottle of ~50 proof is gonna do much more.
Anyways i wanna see what all this German rave party drink is all about.

The best Absinthe is Chzec, 80% and its sposed to be a Hallucinogenic, I`ve had quite alot of it but never had that kind of effect, I usually wake up face down in the toilet. The propper way to enjoy Absinthe is - One large measure 50ml put into a whisky type glass, a spoon of white sugar, dip the sugar in the absinthe to moisten the sugar trying to leave as much as possible on the spoon, ignite with a flame, a lighter is the best source but a gas cooker can be used if too drunk to move from the kitchen. when the sugar has melted, tip into glass. extinguish flame in glass by putting hand over the glass, this may burn you and often leaves a burn ring on your hand, (theres nothing worse than a burnt ring) `Neck` it in one, taking care not to burn your lips on the glass. repeat as necessary. I think I`ll go and have one myself.

Been there, done that, wrote the report... Stick to 2 drinks of the stuff, unless you've got a really decent tolerance...

I took two shots of a weakened version of it in Germany, just felt a little relaxed. The way they served it there, you get a large shotglass of water and a small one of the shot. You pour the shot over a spoonful of sugar while it's over the water, then light the spoon on fire and dip it almost into the water so it catches fire too, then dump/stir and take the shot.

We had 170 proof Absinthe in Prague. Doesn't take much to get you hammered.

^Ew, american beer...

I've taken 2 shots of 150 proof...had a high buzz but nothing more. Lasted about an hour. My roomate is getting Absinthe made though so...idk. After a few shots though, any club with girls would look like that one in Switzerland
