On a completely unrelated note;
1via, do you own a Onevia, or is that the name of a racing/drifting team of some sort? |

Re: F#cking Heater-Core...
I owned a 'one-via' (240sx Coupe dorifto style) before my very beautiful Z32. Now I have Z fever... but I still am pretty much into drifting and touge-racing and I still hang out with the dorifto crowd.
BTW: Love your Avatar! Sephiroth rocks! And I repeat: ANYONE EVER CHANGE A HEATER CORE IN A Z32????

Or you could fix it if you read the post here. Look up cooling and heating or something like that. I've never had this problem with this car but the following should help you. http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi |

One more option. Your only a few hours drive from me and you could bring it down and we could fix it. Never seen anything a man has built that couldn't be fixed.
Or you could sell it to me cheap

Re: F#cking Heater-Core...
Okay... I have worked (replaced) with these hoses before. So which is which? The top hose is the inlet I'm assuming, and the outlet is the bottom one, right? What do I use to 're-route' the hoses though?

Disconnect the outlet hose from the engine to the heater at the heater. Remove the return hose completely. Now connect the outlet hose to the engine where you removed the return hose and it's a done deal.
I don't have a N/A so I'm not sure where the hoses are or if it's the same, but I could look at one of mine and tell which is which. Last edited by Zgringo; 11-18-2004 at 11:35 PM. |

Ok. I'm going to make this so simple even I could do it.
1st open your hood and put hood brace in place so as the hood dont come down on your head. 2nd Put your hand on one of the heater hoses (I don't care which one) remove that hose. Now you'll have one hose left. Now with one hose missing you'll have a spout sticking out of your waterpump. Leave the other hose connected to the pump but disconnect it at the other end. 3rd Now you should have a hose connected to the pump but the other end out in mid air. Take that end and put it where you removed the other hose. Tighen the hose clamp. 4th Add whatever you use, to replace the fluid you lost removing the hose. 5th Get in car and start, get out of car and check for leaks. No leaks close hood and your done. |
