Alarm Beep

When I lock the doors with the remote to set the alarm, the car does not beep much anymore. Can anyone tell me why and what can I do to get the "beep" back?

Re: Alarm Beep

The piezo can be programmed on and off through the key fob. Or in some rare cases, it could have died out, or had been damaged in some way. I ended up just cutting mine out because it had drove me insane with the little sissy sounding beeping. The programming guide is available here http://www.4runners.org/images/rs300...m%20Manual.pdf , but it's for the TVIP RS3000 system.

Re: Alarm Beep

Mine got water-damaged... I cut it out and replaced it with a $5 buzzer from Radio Shack... A lot cheaper than the $35 + install the dealer wanted to charge me.

Re: Alarm Beep

Works just as good if not better, correct?

Re: Alarm Beep

I don't know about better, but definitely just as well.

Re: Alarm Beep

Well, just as long as it's completely functionable, it's all good.
