a kill and a night at the track

coming home from work friday night i got in a race with a third gen z28 camaro, it was modded it and kept up with me pretty good i only started to pull away only after 120. We went at it a couple of times, and the races really got my heart pumpin pretty good. So i decided instead of the usual pass out and wake up in some random place trying to figure out what the hell happend the night before, to go to the track. so me and five buddies went to the track up in Sanger (Cassie might know where its at i think he live around the area)it's only a 1/8th mile, i dont know of any 1/4 mile tracks by me. I made four runs. The timeslips are in my car right now and i dont wanna go out and get em, its freezn balls out there. but here are my runs

Best 8.53@xxxxxx, racing a mach one on nos that was consistlenly running 7.9s
I'll fill in the other three, and specifics tommorow when i get the slips

i was hopeing for a best of 8.7 so i was really satisfied for the night, it was my first time running on a track.

but i think i should be able to run 12's, does any one know what you have to be able to run in the 1/8 to be able to run 12's?

*EDIT
Ok I got the timeslips, crap, well this will let you guys know how bad i sucked it up at the track my first time. But i will get better. All runs were on street tires.

1rst run
Me ---------- (opponent)
.9382 ----- Reaction ----- .5621
2.5427 ----- 60 foot ----- 2.4046
6.2475 ----- 330 foot ----- 6.9110
9.1688 ----- 1/8 ET ----- 10.6376
85.15 ----- MPH ----- 66.14
Comments: Late reaction, spun the tires too much in second. Dont really know why it was that slow

2nd run
ME ---------- (Mach 1 Stang)
.9855----- Reaction ----- .5784
2.1530 ----- 60 foot ----- 1.7831
5.6722 ----- 330 foot ----- 5.2608
8.5361 ----- 1/8 ET ------ 8.1515
86.59 ----- MPH----- 85.39
Comments: Horrible reaction, right amount of throttle in second, after looking at this i was shocked i trapped higher than the mach 1, which means i was pullin on him, i wonder if i can get in the 7's? BTW the Mach 1 had slicks.

3rd run
ME ---------- (opponent)
.5669----- Reaction ----- 1.1567
2.4617 ----- 60 foot ----- 2.5446
6.6686 ----- 330 foot ----- 7.1680
10.0374 ----- 1/8 ET ----- 10.9233
77.27 ----- MPH ----- 64.94
Comments:Best reaction, forgot and tried to burn out with ASR on and couldn't so I didn't have time to burn out before, got real sideways in second fishtailed bad, screwed up my ET
(whenever i turn my car off and back on it automatically turns the traction control, ASR, on)

4th run
ME ---------- (Friend in 02 V8 dodge)
.8844 ----- Reaction----- .8196
2.2690 ----- 60 foot ----- 2.4996
5.9728 ----- 330 foot ----- 7.0337
9.7971 ----- 1/8 ET ----- 10.8437
57.74 ----- MPH ----- 64.74
Comments: Lol missed third, put it in neutral coasted across the line and still beat him, DAM YOU tiny gate gearing!!!!!!

Re: a kill and a night at the track

Ahh what type of car do you have. Some specifics would help. Your 1/8th mile is sick. Even with a 1.9 sec. 60' I only got a 8.7 sec. 1/8th mile.

Re: a kill and a night at the track

i would make a guestimate of a .500 base tree almost positive, seeing how i didnt see anyone go below .500 and those reaction would be horrible otherwise

Re: a kill and a night at the track

Lol, that would probably be it then, lol.

Well, that .566 light is really good coming off a foot brake.
