rear speakers in 4d?
They look like 5.25's, but how the hell do they clear the trunk springs?

Re: rear speakers in 4d?
I think they are actually 6", but I don't have any rear speakers - not sure what how deep they can go.

Re: rear speakers in 4d?
yea the bar limits the speaker depth, but if you get rid of it your trunk won't stay up when you open it - but i think we'd rather live with that than have crappy speakers back there
![]() my previous owner put aftermarket pioneers in there and they sound pretty good : P

Re: rear speakers in 4d?
I have the same problem. I couldn't decide what to do, but had already cut my dash before I realized they wouldn't clear the tension bar. Maybe some kind of heavy duty spring setup, kinda of like the gas cylinders that hold a hatch up?

You can just bend the tension bar a couple of inches. Mine still holds the trunl lid up and clears the speakers.

I just bought my 91 Honda Civic EX Sedan, I had a 03 Dodge Ram.
I got the Civic to save gas. I wanted to put my speakers into my car now, but no way will they fit. Has anyone got any pics of 6x9's installed in the rear, and 6.5's in the front? Also, how about a good sub box for 2 10s in the trunk.
