Oil on the.....
Garage floor! Well looks like I have a little problem to solve. I haven't smelled any oil burining but it appears that I have a leak in my 00 V6 Sport.
I recently replaced the COPs on the drivers side so I am confident that the oil has not filtrated that valve cover gasket. I have not had a chance to put the car up on jack stands becasue I just found the spots after returning from a road trip so i would like to know if anyone else has seen this. Also what is the probability that it is the passenger side valve cover gasket? It was replaced once 2 years ago. thanks in advance.

Re: Oil on the.....
I would think if it was the top half, you'd be smelling it burn at some point. My money is on the pan gasket or drain plug.

Re: Oil on the.....
man I certainly hope so. I figured I would at least start there first as it is the easiest to get to.
I forget how theydiscovered that I had a gasket problem last time. I don't recall reporting the problem or any symptoms. I will have to go back to the work orders and check my statements.
