NEED REVIEWS 1993 trooper!!

Im 16 and have found a 1993 Isuzu trooper LX with 140k miles. Overall its in good condition and looks good. It has a V6, 3.2 liter engine. I need to know if its a good, reliable car, safe car. Please respond!!

In general Troopers are great vehicles. Built to last a long, long time.
I have a 99 and am very happy with it. About the only problem I remember reading about this vintage of Trooper is valve train tick. Supposedly this is "fixed" using 0/30w Mobil1 oil. Hopefully several people with 93 will give you a better handle on this.

Assuming the word is that 93s are indeed fine, make sure you have it inspected. Just because that may be a good year doesn't mean you have found a good vehicle. The prior owner could have neglected or abused it. Thus, only an inspector who knows what he is doing and actually inspects the vehicle can tell you if any particular vehicle indeed checks out ok. If you don't do this you could get stuck with a real money pit. Also make sure you really want a top heavy, gas-eating SUV and not some hotroad, road course or gas stingy car. Dad mode off.

Congratulations on asking the board for input before your purchase (too bad some more people didn't respond to try and help you). Way too many times people stop by with and start their post with "I just bought this car and have this problem . . . ". You on the other hand are doing your homework ahead of time.
