Question bottom-end buildup for turbo

after reading around, i don't think these questions have been asked before (at least not here), so here it goes:

all questions relate to a 5th gen h22

1) how low should the compression be lowered in comparison to boost?
a)is a thicker headgasket a plausible solution for this engine?
2) which internals should be upgraded for 15psi?
a) pistons? je or wiseco?
b) connecting rods? recommendations?
c) crankshaft? do they even make aftermarket for h22?
d) any at all?? cuz obviously you need sleeves if you replace the pistons...i think
3) who sells an engine rebuild kit for the h22 (bearings, gaskets, etc.)?
4) anyone here done a 15psi engine buildup?? if so, how much did it cost you?

any other practical things i probably missed.

if you haven't guessed it already, i wanna do an engine buildup and eventually boost around 15psi. these questions pertain to the bottom-end build up, any good advice for the top end?

I'll try and answer what I know.

a)is a thicker headgasket a plausible solution for this engine?

To run 15 psi a thicker headgasket alone won't lower your compression enough. 8.5 c/r is what I would go with. Remember it's generally agreed that less compression, more boost is better then more compression, less boost.

a) pistons? je or wiseco?

I've heard good things about both. Wiseco are quite a bit lighter, don't know if that's a good or bad thing. Heavier pistons would seem to be able to take more stress.

b) connecting rods? recommendations?

I'd go Crower.

c) crankshaft? do they even make aftermarket for h22?

I'm pretty sure your stock one will hold up fine.

d) any at all?? cuz obviously you need sleeves if you replace the pistons...i think

I'd go with Golden Eagle sleeves.
