Bad smell from fresh air vent

1995 3.8 Windstar. I have been getting a bad smell through the ventilation system. It smells like oil or trans fluid. I have no oil leaks on the ground. The vehicle has 160k.

Get some air conditioner spary and spray it in the external inoput vents above your hood while air cond is running.

I had the same problem with a 96. Dealer said the PVC value hose was off. They left if off the backside of the engine on a previous repear.
