Motor swap question

I am thinking of getting an 82 Supra. I am wondering if I drop a 7m-gte in can I use the stock transmission?

Re: Motor swap question

I wouldn't see why not, I know MKIV's and that's it though. But running a turbo motor on a non-turbo tranny is asking for the tranny to fail in a mkiv. I don't know enough about the 82's to tell you if you would have to replace the tranny or not but I would just to make sure if you get it. Good luck.

Re: Motor swap question

but what about an 89 n/a mkIII, could you just drop the 7mgte on it without having to replace the tranny? I know that you would need the turbo ecu and harness

Re: Motor swap question

Alright it's ok to post the name of a place you bought from, but saying the same thing in every single post of yours and linking them would be considered spamming. If you want used JDM engines go to Jarco, there the best for a reason.
