2000 Blazer power steering

Hi, 2000 Bazer LT 4 door 4wd 43,000 miles. About 6 months ago I had a leak in my power steering it was the pump seal and I had it replaced. Now I notice that when the rpms are low when trying to turn hard going in a parking space etc that it makes a groaning noise. Is this normal? Any comments on this. Thanks.

Re: 2000 Blazer power steering

A little groaning is considered normal when the wheel is at full steering lock, however, doing it too much can cause potential damage. (by too much I mean TOO much. normal driving will probably never see this)

I have a 2000 as well and my pump seeps a little. I have 73150 miles on it now and the pump is starting to sound like it's gonna give up the ghost. It groans all the time anymore, and I keep her topped off with fluid. (not that it loses any to speak of)
