gasket removal techniques
wondering if anyone has a better way then i to remove small stuck on gasket fragments around the bolt holes, and oil vains on the oilpump cover without scaring the surface. ahhem. not that i've done that with lets say a flat head screwdriver, or anything else sharp and flat like a paint scraper. yeah.. =)

Re: gasket removal techniques
There's a tool called a gasket scraper, and it's similar to a putty knife. I'm not familiar with the oil veins you are talking about, so I can not imagine why you can't use a scraper.
