engine not starting
I started my 98 cirrus today, backed it up, shut it off. I then went back to start it about 15 minutes later and it would not start. It fired but then died and only cranked over but would not fire, I then held the gas pedal all the way to the floor and it started right up and stayed running, after that it has continued to start every time. Only till I held the pedal to the floor would it start, can someone tell me what happened? thanks

Re: engine not starting
I had the same problem with my 99 Chrysler Cirrus, I took it to the dealership to have them test it. he couldnt find any thing, but he did mention it could be the EGR valve that has gone bad. So i purchased a new one got it installed, now my car starts up right away. What was happenig was that the gas wasnt reaching the engine, so the car would crank but not fire]
