Le2jog

hi all,

no pix as yet, but a friend and i have decided to drive the length of britain and do land's end to john o'groats. so hopefully this should present a few photo opportunities. we are going to sort of be doing it non-stop. only "sort of" as non-stop usually only means pit stops and petrol, but we're going to be doing pitstops, petrol and photography...

probably going to be leaving on monday night. just finished (more or less) servicing my mate's 7er as we're going to take that. there's more room in it than any of my cars. we need room to have one person sleeping and one driving at times. apparently it can be done in 32 hours. but that's a serious amount of driving and not stopping for pix...

Re: Le2jog

Is this the actual Le Jog organized event, or are you doing it on your own?

What year 7 series?

Have fun, I look forward to the pics

yes, it should be very interesting. nz and the uk are supposed to be roughly the same climate and size.

a couple of people have asked me that. is there one scheduled soon? i was planning on driving over the pyraneese in my 6er or one of the porsche's but that all fell through at the last minute. however i'd already booked the time off work, so was stuck for something to do.

it's a 1989 e32 735iSE. not the best choice in the world for fuel economy, but it's designed for long distance cruising. i've managed to get an average of 27.1 mpg out of one before on a long journey.
