Let me vent a lilttle - one of my biggest pet peeves in life are dealers who put their logo on YOUR brand new $30,000 truck. Most of the time they put them on crooked plus the logos look like $hit. I cancelled a truck deal because the dealer refused to take the damn thing off!!! They should be paying you to have the stupid thing on your truck. Free advertising. The most I will allow is a tag frame.

yea - keep the gun on low and feel with your hands.
remember you are only heating the adesive to break the initial bond. Any residue clean up can be done with a citrus based solution. Ronson lighter fluid works also (dinosaur based).

Spackelman, I agree with you 100%. When I purchased my '04 in April, I specifically told the dealer before I purchased it, upon delivery, I did not want any dealer stickers, mudflaps, or license plate applied to my new truck. What do you know!!! when they delivered it, there was a dealer sticker on it. Of course I didn't notice it til after they left... and I did complain about it though!!!! This urks me to no end!!! When you pay so much for a vehicle, make a special request and they don't abide by it!!! Word of mouth is much more effective then a damn sticker!!!!!

I used some fishing line to get behind the silverado on the tail gate and the 1500 on the side. To take off the dealers sticker i very carefully used a razor blade. It was more of a decale than a sticker or badge. The door molding I just pulled off with no heat at all.... Then scraped most of the tape off with a cheap-o free-bee plastic ice scraper...u know one of the ones that are made to go on ur key chain. Then I used Goo-Gone to get all the sticky shit off. Looks alot better.
