Need to buy new remote access fob for '98 Honda Civic EX

Just bought my daughter a '98 Honda Civic EX. One of the remote key/security 'fobs' works..but one of them doesn't. I need to buy a replacement. Honda is asking $80! Is there somewhere I can get one cheaper than that?!
Also..is there a way to start the car with the key alone (when it was locked with the remote/security is on)? When I try now the alarm starts blaring (and blaring!) and I cannot start the car. VERY annoying since I have the key right in my hand.

You are talking abou thte remote right? If so then as long as the alarm is armed then you have to disarm it with the remote before you can start it. Also I know the Autozone here sells remotes for factory alarm systems, but I would rather have the Factory honda one IMHO. Also have you tried to replace the battery in the remote that does not work?

I just bought a used remote for my civic on ebay for $16.00, its used but in good working condition. just make sure the fcc # matches. check the back of the remote for the #.
but before you purchase one, make sure you try replacing the battery. and make sure the remote is programed.
good luck.
