Re: No Battery Gauge !!! ?
i dont understand why somebody wouldnt i mean theyre only about 30$ but i guess the labor to have it installed would be alot, but it would be worth it to know how much life you battery still has plus it would look really cool if you put it somewhere where gauges arent usually found

when i throw my guage pod in, i will think about throwing a volts guage in if i need a filler spot. it isnt really a needed guage in my opinion. if your battery or alternator goes out there is really nothing you can do about it anyways.

Re: No Battery Gauge !!! ?
well you will know not to take it somewhere when it has low battery, its just that last week i tried starting my car to take it to school for my first time but it didnt start i was mad all day, i found out its because my battery was too low not sure how it got so low but if i would have known then i would have charged it before
its just one of those things that piss you off and you will never forget well now im looking for gauges that will match my red face gauge cluster covers, its pretty hard to find some that match good |

well, if your battery is low, that means your alternator isnt charging your battery if it has been ran. so therefore you have a bigger problem than a low battery...just my

if you want it to looks cool, dont get a single guage, spend some extra cash and get a autometer tri-pod and then stick 3 guages in there including your volts guage. and then just throw in 2 more guages.

Re: No Battery Gauge !!! ?
OK you have a charge gauge...ALL cars have it...... its called a charge light. That light that comes on your dash when you start the car with the Battery on it, thats your charge light. Without it no charge. with it everything is good. If the light comes on while driving battery/alternator problems, if it stays off then your car is within its 10.4-14.4V range, and everything is ok.
No need for a "go fast" part that actually doesnt make the car go faster. Instead of wasting money on a charge gauge, by some performance pads for the 30 odd dollars you'd waste on the gauge on them instead. At least then you actually did something for the car not TO the car. I have to agree with the others on this. Dont put parts on the Z that dont improve the performance. I hate the extra gauge look. When I get to that point I will just redo my instrament cluster. |

Re: No Battery Gauge !!! ?
when i get to the poing of needing more gauges, i am just going to put them in the little cubby hole under the head unit.

not me...when i do the TT swap, im gonna need a boost guage, so i am going to go ahead and put a tri-pod guage pod and do boost, pyrometer, and fuel pressure. those are things i might want to monitor.

Re: No Battery Gauge !!! ?
well i guess i should spend money into finding out what the hell is squeaking, it sounds like metal touching metal somewhere around the rims, i can tell its the rims or motors or something there because i hear it at a certain time so i think a part is bent and tocuhing something else every revolution of the tire, any suggestions ?

Re: No Battery Gauge !!! ?
check your brake pads. they could be really low and the squeeler (i don't know what it is called, the little metal piece that hits the rotors that make them squeak to tell you the pads are low) could be touching the rotor even when you are not on the brakes. same thing was happening to my beater car.
