Hows everyone doing? I was just wondering if anybody here knows about the remote starters. I want to install my own alarm/remote start combo, and I'm not sure if I need the bypass module. I don't have a factory alarm, but I do have the Leftlock, which I know is only for the stereo. But, I just wanted to make sure before I install one and find out the hard way. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Re: Remote Starter
What year GP? If it is a '99 or older, you do not have Passlock so install should be pretty standard. Personally, I would have a professional install. Look into DEI stuff, they are the best. www.directed.com

Re: Remote Starter
I have a '97. I can actually do it myself, but i just wanted to make sure that i didn't need the bypass. I do have the Theftlock feature, but not the Passlock that you mentioned, or a factory alarm. Thanks for the info.Joe Newville

Re: Remote Starter
Cool, I would suggest using real high quality 3m t-taps or solder and 3m super33 tape to do the connections.
Theftlock only pertains to the stereo and nothing else in the car.
