Where are the tire pressure sensors???

Where are the sensors that monitor the tire pressure. I was going to swap my gtp rims for better newer style gt rims. Is the sensor part of the gtp rim or can it be transferred to a gt rim.

How the hell does it know if there is air missing form the actual tire then if it's on the hub?? Don't know much about this system jsut upgraded from a GT to GTP today, it's a bit older than the GT but a hellof a lot faster.

It has to do with tire rotation.

Re: Where are the tire pressure sensors???

Yes, it does have to do with rotation. All the tires should be spinning at the same rate. If air is low in a tire, then it's a different diameter, thus making it rotate more times than the other 3 tires in a given distance.

It has them. You can see it when it does the light test when you turn on your key.

Re: Where are the tire pressure sensors???

I dont think my car has it. My tire presure was down to about 12 in one tire, 20 in the other and the light didnt come on. Didnt see anything about it in the book about it.
