Good Race or Bad Race

had this really strange thought so I might as well ask it. Could a stock manual v6 silverado hang with an RSX S?

aerodynamics really don't really affect a race untill about 80 MPH or so.

What do you run, like a 16 flat? You guys are going to learn that not all trucks are slow.

To answer your question, it should be no contest for a RSX S to beat a v6 silverado. Just throw some more cubes in there and it won't be a problem.

90redgt, what kind of times are you putting down with the new project? We have several old fox bodies around, but none of them are getting very serious with them. They just put a Flowmaster on them, and think they are fast.

You're very right about that. The 4.3L is just too small a motor to pull that much weight. My old 4.8L V8 the truck came with wasn't much to it. With the programmer and intake, it went a mind blowing 15.4@86. It's come a long way since then, but I just tell people it's a 4.8L. When they don't believe me, I tell them to look at the sticker on the shroud or run the vin #. Usually the ricers go for it, but the guys that actually "know" somthing about cars can tell the truck is loping its ass off(a huge red flag that the truck isn't stock).
