just a bit on warped heads

alright, we've all heard it, had it, or talked about it. getting a warped head flattened back out, or just replaining a head to make sure it is prefectly flat. however, i haven't seen (recently anyway) any mention about the camshaft. if the head warps on the bottom, it warps on the top too. that means all the cam shaft caps r gonna be misaligned. well if u have the bottom shaved so it's flat, wut about the camshaft? it'll still be sitting in the croocked caps, so it's gonna be bowed. yeah u can get away w/ it if it's very minor, but it will still prematurely wear it out. and worse case, snap it in half. u can have the caps realigned when u have the head plained, so it is very fixable. i mention this because i never even thought of this until, about 2 months ago, an old timer technician taught me it. just thought i'd thro in my (and his )

yeah basically you can align hone it kind of like the bearing caps for a crank shaft...

yep. i was noticing a few posts about fixing warped heads or replaining them and such, and just thought i'd save sum people sum possible future problems.
