Damn a ford windstar edged out my Car!

SCENARIO:
Ok i'm returning home from school, nightime, i'm on a local intersection waiting for the light to turn green.
THE CHALLENGE:
Well i'm in my 2nd car, 95 jeep grand cherokee laredo w/90k on it. and this idiot guy in 01 ford windstar pulls up next to me and revs his engine at me. I'm like wtf is he doing! especially in a windstar. So, i'm like ok...sure...whatever...and ignore him. THen once again he revs his engine even higher. I'm like talking to myself in my mind "godammit stop being gay!".
THE ACCEPTANCE:
So, of course he got on my nerves and i reved back at him. I have never raced against a ford windstar especially in my jeep! But, yes!, i have raced other suv's for the hell of it, cuz they started it, but that will be another story. And i know the jeep hauls ass w/ its 4.0L I-6.
THE COURSE/STRIP:
Well, after the main local intersection up to my house there is a straight b4 you hit the hill, i'd say i could hit 60mph b4 i hit the steep hill, i'd say 1mile or so long with a constant 40 degree angle and slight curve. So this was the battle of sheer torque!and some.
CAR SITUATION:
OLD CAR(7yr. old) VS. NEWER CAR (1month or so). I had 1/4 tank full
GO GREEN!:
The light hit green and both of our cars flew back as the rpm jumped! I'd say I redlined the jeep at 5K in short amt of time (felt kinda low knowing i hit 10.8k (aprox) on my GS-R). Well, me, pretty good auto driver, got off a better start on the line. I'd say i had a car length. but as soon as i got 1/3 way up the hill i could see the MINIVAN gaining. I was seriously panicing, it would suck to get beat by a MINIVAN no matter waht! Ok so as we hit the 1/2 way mark, the ford was jsut inches away from side by side. by this time we were hitting 70mph!
THE KILL:
With 1/3 of the way left of the hill he started gaining on me! all of a sudden he was in front of me! i was like oh crap! that minivan hauls ass! i back by a car length or so traveling at 75 and when we got up to more of the flats (1/4mile or less) i'd started to gain on him. We were hitting 95mph and he turned on his hazArds cuz there was an intersection local intersection comming up. I was so close if i had a couple more sec. Well n e wayz he got himselft a kill.
This race like lasted 1min at most, my guess.
LAST WORDS TO THE UNAWARE:
"MINIVANS HAUL ASS!BEWARE!"

Oh well it was fun, yet depressing lol. Time to retire/trade in the Jeep...
I need to make up for this loss...VTEC TIME!

HA!

my civic would probably get beaten by a minivan lol...

my friend would drive his parents a while ago... 94 Grand Caravan.. 3.3l V6... we make fun of him a lot for his quote when driving it.. "Effortless acceleration" it was retarded... accelerating onto a hiway in a minivan and he says that..... right.... well, i guess the other car he drives is a stratus so he ain't used to anything fast lol....

I'll race my friends CJ-7 in my civic soon

May dad used to have one of those Chrysler turbo mini-vans, and some people have theirs doing 10s in 1/4 mile. But they aren't that fast. One night back in Colorado I has headed towards main street in Longmont when some kid pulls up next to me with his parents Ford Windstar, so he speeds up like he wants to race, so I toy with him for a few seconds. Then I got bored and left him in the dust. He tried to keep up but I left him like he was standing still and I didn't even have to downshift. Some are kinda quick for the size but if you get beat by a mini-van, unless it is like the aforementioned turbo van, time to mod or get a new car. Just my .02.

well my moms minvan is fast as hell. its a 3.8 L v6 chrysler town and country. the only problem is the piece of shit breaks all the time cause its a chrysler. and those straight six jeeps have a ton of torque. me friends brother in law worked at a jeep dealer and he said that the straight six jeeps have more torque than the v8's.
