Passenger Door

Awhile ago someone slammed the seat belt in the passenger door of my car. Now when I go to open it Its hard to open, I have to pull extra hard to get it to open. How do I fix it and with what tools?

Re: Passenger Door

Sounds like your door is out of alignment, or the latch catch on the door sill. If the door looks even, ie. doesn't look out of whack when it's closed, I would simply adjust the catch. I'm pretty sure it's a torx bit that's needed to loosen it but I'm not sure what size. Once you've loosened the catch slide it up about an 1/8" and re-tighten it and see if the door works easier. If it still seems a bit rough but better, move the plate another 1/8" until the door closes and opens properly again.
