isnt it in the engine comparentment? On the ESi, its on the driver side right next tothe intake

It's inside the car, right behind the head unit (cd player). It's in a big gold box-looking thing. You have to pull the driver and passenger side kick panels to access it. You'll know it when you see it.

the ecu is inside the engine compartment....somewhere around the fuse box, or it should be.

I agree with guitar. Its on the drivers side to the right, under the dash.

Maybe on a 420a, but not on the 4g63
