Say goodbye to my resonater, anybody done this??
So I had my resonater chopped off and replaced with a straight pipe, from inside the car not any diffrence, but outside it creates a nice deep sound, but my intake still steals most the sound. It was Only $30. it was to keep me happy until I can get enough for Catback system. Im sure it sounds better on the vr6 and 1.8T, mine is a 2.0L, O well! happy v-dubbin

Right on, i was planning on doing the same. But can it pass smog, i know that its just a resonater, and have you tried to pass smog since then?

Nah! havent had to pass smog yet, I dont think it will affect it though, the guys that did it didnt seem to worried about it. They said it probably wont make much diffrence in sound since The oem muffler is so huge, but it does give it a little more sound, and for $30 not bad. As soon as I get enough $flow$ Im putting a catback system on! But its good for now!
