Heater fogging up windshield and making spots? WTF...
If its cold out and I turn on the heater to defrost the front windshield, it actually ends up fogging up the window MORE. Also, little "spots" show up on the windshield right over where the heater vents are. Is this a f'ed up heater core on my hands? Whats going on?
Its a '91 Accord LX |

Could be. You might smell the antifreeze. It does have a distinictive odor. Or you might have a leaking tail lights which is letting water into the trunk thereby increasing the inside humidity. Check your trunk under the carpet. If it is wet, you need to reseal the tail lights both on the trunk lid and the body.

Another possibility = the heater (core) drain is blocked - patially or completely.

make sure the AC button is on as well as this will draw moisture out of the air.

Turn the heater knob to heat with the airconditioner on. The airconditioner will remove humidity from the air and the heater will heat the air. The reason you get fog on the windshield is that the air in the car has moisture and the inside temperature is wamer then the temperature of the glass.
