5.0L supercharger

Guys, any views on installing a supercharger on a 96 5.0L? Any and all info would be greatly apprectiated!

I've heard older higher mileage engines can't always handle the new stresses a supercharger will produce. Not sure how reputable the info is but it sounds logical.
Maybe spend the money you have now on a new crate motor and start saving again for a supercharger. Hell, bite the bullet and get them both now.
