I just bought a 2001 325i 6-cylinder automatic (w/ steptronik)
Is there a particular user/service manual I should get (other than the instruction booklet I got with the car)? What can I do myself (maintenance) rather than taking it to a dealer? Any advice is gratefully received. Thank you. |

Re: New 325i Owner needs wisdom/advice
Well unless you have tools you cant realyl do anything on your car. If you want to change the oil you need a 17mm for the oil plug and a 36mm socket for the oil filter. You can do your own tire rotation by setting the car down on a piece of 2by4 on a cinder block.

Re: New 325i Owner needs wisdom/advice
its widely acknowledged that the best manuals for bimmers are the Bentley Manuals.
I got mine from amazon, but i am sure they are also at bmpdesign.com or bavauto.com
