2004 RT - Engine Whine
Are there any other 2004 RT 4-door owners out here who have a 5-speed manual? Looking for feedback if your ride "whines" and sounds like a toy? Completely dissastisfied with this car. Previously owned an '01 2-door RT and it was a superior vehicle. (Probably because it was built mostly by Mitsubishi).
This car drives me crazy. There is a distinct whine that comes from the engine as you shift through the gears. Only when you are in 5th at 60 mph or above is it tolerable. Just to satisfy my curiosity, I drove another 5-speed RT to see if it behaves the same way. It does.
The brakes create a ton of dust and the rims are dirty a day after you wash it. Looking to see if there are any others who are as completely dissatisfied as me. Misery loves company.
