Re: 240sx rb26 awd??

Thats funny because thats way too much travel for an S13 and the Front tires are still on the ground. (and look like they're weighted)

This was old news on zilvia. It happened because he tried to hack on the Skyline Front supension / crossmember / Gearbox / Diff.

Whatever he did I wouldnt buy that car to save my life and whoever would pay 10.5 (what he wants) is a tool and should be shot... by the way that RB has a hole in the block sealed with JBweld

AWD???? Bull shit, I’ll say it again...BULL SHIT!!!
AWD is not a 4X4, just by connecting the front drive shaft (allot of fabrication $$$) dose not make it a AWD. The wiring job for the sensors is a difficult job. if not done right it could be dangerous.

It's not that hard to believe, it is a lot of work but some people want to do it. Check out the DSM forums for the project car, converting FWD to AWD. Plus he's got the 26 in and msot likely has the tranny in too so check things out next time before you jump the gun.

Re: 240sx rb26 awd??

i don't reject the fact the a AWD is posible.. but i don't think that its been don befor.. i know of RB 240 but there all RWD... if it will cost more then $2000 to get it to be a AWD (i'm sure its way more) I belive that the buyer sould be aware of that. BTW i treid to make my 240 AWD (hence AWDSR20) but the cost was out of control!!

It's easier to make a FWD DSM a AWD because there was AWD DSMs, there were never any AWS 240s.

I agree that an AWD conversion does sound far-fetched as far as money is concerned, but I'm pretty sure that the transmission from and RB25det(RWD) will work with the RB26. This would bring new meaning to the term "Stupid Fast!"
