oil for an e32 735i se

hi,

i'm borrowing an '89 735iSE from a friend to drive from land's end to john o'groats (UK). i want to do a service before i go (next week). it's going to be very cold in scotland and we don't have a handbook for the bimmer. what viscosity oil should i be using for coverage down to -10 degrees celsius.

i'm also going to change the oil, and and fuel filters and check the plugs, dizzi and rotor arm. as well as the usual tyre wear and pressues, and all the fluid levels. have i missed anything?
