Steering Wheel Noise

Hey everyone,

I own a 98 Pontiac Grand Am.

My steering wheel makes load noises when I turn it. The noise gets even bigger if its turned for a long time or if I slam on my brakes.

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

Matt

Re: Steering Wheel Noise

Sounds like your power steering pump is goin. You can find a new one between like 80 to 120 $$. Grand Am power steering isn't known for lasting a long time. You might also want to check if your power steering is topped off - u could possibly be leaking fluid. Just a possibility.
