This is my car

My friend got his car painted and had his frame redone at a body shop. He tells me that it will take 3 grand to fix the rear end of my car. Is that about right? I can get a new accord for 2 grand, if i'm willing to travle to Cali/texas, but I have grown extreamly fond of this car. I'm not worried about the front end, I want diffent fenders and a new hood anyhow. So could I get an idea.
