97 breeze steering wheel vibration @ idle
I have a 97 plymouth breeze, has about 70k. Besides a bad headgasket, it has been a good car, despite two recalls. Its a nice vehicle to drive, and is pretty efficient, although the engine could have more power...
Anyway, for a long time now, there has been an issue with the steering wheel, when the car is at idle. At hot idle especially, when sitting, car in drive, at a stop, the steering wheel shakes violently. The engine idles fine and smooth, and it doesnt seem to be related to the engine. But the steering wheel shakes a lot. Putting it in neutral helps reduce it somewhat, but it still can be noticed. Dealer doesnt have an idea... Any ideas??? Thanks, JMH |

check motor mounts. Those usually cause vibrations at idle.
