93 talon engine swap
I just got a 1993 eagle talon DL with the 1.8L 4g32 engine and i was thinking about swapping in a 4g63 engine, and i was wondering if anyone could tell me how much labor would cost to get this done, or what an engine like that should cost, or any other comments you have.

im almost positive you'll need an engien & tranny. i dont think the 1.8 tranny is swap-able with the 4g63. you'll need alot of time and $.
typical shortblock 4g63 is 150-300 and a salavge yard, the head is $100, + $ to rebuild any oil seals, bearings that are bad, you'll need to get the block reserfaced to match the head. and all the belts, gaskets, pulyes, fuel delevery, you get the point. id say 2000.

i got a jdm 4g63 engine for 590.00 and did the same as your talking about 1.8 to 2.0 and I have put about 1600.00 in to it your tran will work for the 2.0 but you will need a 2.0 wirring harnes,ecu,motor mounts,alternator,stater,and a new air intake that fits 2.0 have fun if you do it
