1997 Blazer starting problems (update)

That thread and all the posts here were very helpful...thanks guys. I will note there is an alternative to cutting the upper cowl...(key cylinder removal..I posted instructions on that thread). The Bad news is that I dont think this was my problem...The blazer did the same thing for the first few start attempts after the replacement....

I pulled the starter out as far as it would come without major efforts...wiggled it around for a second and it started ok...starter/solenoid replacemant tomorrow...we'll see..
