Question 2000 Jetta headlight installation..help!

I just bought some nice xenon bulbs for my 2000 Jetta, but I put the hood up and just have no idea how to change them! If anyone knows the step-by-step way to put new front bulbs in I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

I installed new headlights/fog lights in my 01 jetta and to do this you must remove the bumper cover. If I remember right you have to do the same to change the bulbs. It is easy to remove the bumper cover. Just take you time and look for all the bolts like the ones behind the little end grills. Hope this helps

Re: 2000 Jetta headlight installation..help!

I've put in xennon bulbs in my 2000 Jetta. If you've got small hands you can do it by just pulling off the covers on the inside. Mine had medal hinges just holding these covers on. The bulbs snap into the harness and turn and click them to lock them back in place. Just don't touch the bulbs and keep the old ones for just in case.

The passenger side is easy, remove the cover, 2 clips.. then take the big washer off and unplug the bulb, replace with new one..
Driver side, i was able to fit my hand between the battery and the light.. you have to take the little cover off.. then follow the same procedure as the other side.. good luck.
